I'd like to find a rattle can of the light blue Corvette engine color. Where can that be sourced. There seems to be two blues they used. Mine is a 78 Pace car, the motor needs a little touch up in places.
I believe that is GM Corporate Blue and Dupli-Color may still sell that color in spray cans. Otherwise, you could get paint mixed to match an existing engine part. It can be purchased in liquid form or placed into spray cans, if you want. Call around to some auto parts stores and to some auto body paint stores for availability and pricing. $20 per spray can of good quality, pre-mixed-to-match engine paint (500*F temp) is very reasonable.
If you want the exact match find a Sherwin Williams AUTO Paint Store. They have a camera that can take a picture of your engine and then once plugged into their computer, will produce the exact color. A few years ago it cost me about $ 30 for a pint, I don’t believe they can put it in a spray can, but if you clean the engine good, a brush will work satisfactory.
