......got this pig back together after almost 1 1/2 years apart,to change the heater core🤣. Well, it kinda snowballed, what a pain in the *** thus car has been,I've named it EVIL KERMIT fir a reason.
Well, as legend goes.......
Back in St. Louis where C3's were crafted.
They had a magician on retainer. His job every day was to levitate heater cores.
And while a heater core was mysteriously floating in mid air. The assembly line workers quickly built a Corvette around it.
True story.
Well, I cheated on the heater core. I had my 76 for several years and never used the heater. Being in the Northeast, the car is put away for the winter.
I installed a new heater core when I did a restoration the first winter I had it. When I discovered that it started leaking a few years later, I decided that I did not want to tear everything apart to get the heater core out . I removed the heater hose nipple from the front of the intake manifold and welded it shut so no water could pass through. I also blocked the other hose with a piece of dowel rod. No leaks anymore and it still looks stock.
