Default Front Cross Member Dent Removal Tool

I am posting this because not everyone may be aware that we loan out the front cross member dent removal tool to those that need them but don't want to buy one.
I can ship the tool to you for your use. All I ask is that you cover the cost of shipping to get it to you, and then ship it back to me when you are done with it.
When I get the tool back I check the contents to make sure they are still in good order and I put a new instruction sheet in the kit to make sure it is present.
I currently have three such kits that I have been loaning out and over the course of the past three years have only lost one.
I have two kits here now at my home and ready to ship out if you need to borrow one of them.
I use a USPS priority one rate medium shipping box as it allows me to ship the heavy item for about $17.00.
Again just let me know if you need it and I will be glad to loan one out to you.
Thank you and best regards,
David Howard

What is the procedure for using the tool? Can you post the instructions?

To access the front cross member from the inside you have to remove the spring from one pocket or the other and you place one part of the tool inside, and one part of the tool outside, then they work together to bring out the dents. Heat helps as well. Cannot be done with the wheels and tires on it, sorry.

I have the three page instruction sheet printed out here but have only used it as a printed piece and not an electronic file to be able to send them out on the internet. I'll see if I can get a good scan of the document and post it here to help. Scanned files tend to be large but I will give it a try.

One of the tools is now headed to Blaine, Washington where it will be heading across the boarder to help out a fellow Corvette owner in British Columbia.
Of the three that I own I have one out now; one in repair; and one here that can be shipped when needed.
Let me know if I can help anyone else out.
Best regards,
David Howard

Credit to David for helping everyone out with our many dented course members. I was a beneficiary of this tool quite a while ago and it worked quite well but a little warning don’t expect perfection, but it will definitely knock out some major dents.

Thabks again David and the others involved in loaning these tools out. Greatly appreciated lke

Hey David,
I’ll be needing one of your tools again soon.
Thanks again for offering them up for use and I’ll send you an email when I’m ready.

For those of you unaware, David manufactures the best crossmember reinforcement plate.
It bolts on under the oem crossmember and allows you to actually use it as a jacking point without damaging or deforming the crossmember.
Its available with two welded on tow hooks.
They are awesome.

Yes, I still lend out the front cross member dent removal tool.
Send me a PM with your address and I will get one packed up and shipped out to you.
The cost is just the cost to ship it to you and you pay shipping to return it when finished.
Best regards,
David Howard
