Default '71 front grills

So who makes the best "Replacement/Reproduction" front grills for a '71?

Are they all made "off-shore"?

An individual recently had a set listed in the 'parts for sale' venue, and they were marked "Made In U.S.A.", who made those and when?

If an original, GM, "N.O.S." set appeared, what would one expect to pay for 'em?

Thank you,
Scott.

There is only one source for the 70-72 grills. A company in Virginia is having them made overseas. They may have "Made in USA" cast into the back of them since an original pair were used to make the molds for them from.

GM discontinued the left front in 2000, and the right front about 12 or 15 years later. When the left's were discontinued a company in Florida acquired the rights to the molds and continued to have them made (possibly in the US). The grill that was coming from GM, as well as the repro from Florida, were both technically only correct for 71, though they made a perfectly good replacement for 70's and 72's. By the time the GM discontinued the right side grill the company in VA was already producing all three variations of the 70-72 grills, so the Florida company discontinued the left they were making, instead of making the right too.

As far as value, with the repro's selling for about $1600 a pair, I would think NOS ones could easily be that much for just one side, and maybe even more if it was an in the GM box left.
