Incredible thanks
It's not perfect, but it's mine and in my garage!
Now I get to wash (as you can see from the picture) , tinker, and drive it.....finally fulfilling a dream I've had for as long as I can remember.
Thanks to everyone on the boards who answered my dumb questions over the last year or so. I have learned so much.
I have to give an incredible and unmeasurable amount of thanks to the guy who made it happen. 60 Shark.
Not only did he help me filter the good from the very bad, he was patient, explained SO much, and then went WAY beyond anything I could have hoped for.
He went to look at the vehicle, made the deposit, delivered a pile of cash I wired him to purchase it, drove it back to his place and then delivered it to me in NY. It's an incredible story and sounds a little insane from my end. There were so many ways for it to have turned into an internet nightmare where some guy steals my money and the car, or any number of other terrible things, but this guy is probably the nicest human being I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in my 50+ years. When I paid for the delivery (which was MORE than reasonable) I wish I could have added several zeros on to the end, to show how thankful and appreciative I am.
Since the purchase, he's been coaching me through timing and minor upgrades, just amazing.
The man truly is a saint and I can't possibly thank him enough. So this is my public shout out to him!
Thank you, sir! You've made a dream come true.

@60 SHARK : your actions confirm what we like to see. This world, and this forum, are full of great people who are willing to help one another. I can't listen to very much news anymore because it can make you crazy. But these kind of stories just make me smile and remember all the good there is.
Thanks to you both for extending trust, help, and letting us know! Best, Paul
