I'm less afraid of theft and more afraid of fire. I have a 50 amp switch installed in the wire between the battery and the amp gauge.

I put an electric fuel pump in my 68. I ran the hot wire through the jack compartment. When I park mine, I grab the inline fuse. If you start my car, you’ll get about 100 feet before you’ll empty the bowls and run out of gas. I can’t imagine being stopped in the middle of the road and taking the time to figure out why the engine stopped. They’d just run and leave it where it fell. After probably killing the battery trying to restart it. Besides, that 3rd pedal is the biggest anti theft device out now.
