I didn't think the 69 had solids, for some reason mine does. Pulled the VC's and the rocker arms are loose and adjusted like solids. My 350 is not #s matching. It looks like maybe a GM Replacemet # or it was rebuilt and someone stamped their own #. The block casting #s look like a 70 L46. Heads, intake and exhaust manifolds casting#s all match 69, 350/350 L46. ??
Not an uncommon mod to make. I have a late 69 (October 1969 for the 69 MY) HW code L46 in my 69 Z/28 for now. Deck stamp is V1022HW. It has no partial VIN stamped anywhere, so could be the original engine to an L46 Corvette with vin between 732600 and 738762, or thereabouts.
I still have the original engine but didn't want to blow it up. I don't drive it often, but when I do, I drive it like I stole it.
I made some changes to the L46. I installed the 178 camshaft (70 LT-1) and used the intake and carb and distributor from my 302. Also have some high end small tube tuned headers from a company that is now out of business. It is a blast with 4.10 screw in the back.
No L46 came with solid lifters. The LT-1 camshaft is obviously uses solid lifters. Some time in the last 50 years, someone likely did something similar to your motor.
