Default C3 Winshield Wipers Question

Real stupid question but I put on new windshield wiper blades, my front window is perfectly spotless and smooth as can be... so why are my wipers chattering and sticking when I use the blades in the rain? Is it the arm or the rubber blade piece or the way the arms were mounted? BTW it's a 1977, though I'm sure that it doesn't matter. Didn't see anything on old posts. ?? Thanks.

Yup. I've cleaned, clay bared and use Invisible glass cleaner. The surface is extremely clean and smooth. Which is why I'm baffled.

when my blades get really dry from sun and age they skip and stutter across the windshield. How do yours feel?

I have a 77 as well. My wipers work normally. A bit fun to adjust so they don't overshoot or hit one another. But work fine. Perhaps your new blades are junk?

What brand of blades did you buy? Did your previous blades do the same? Like so many products sold these days originating in a certain far eastern country, could be the materials used in the blades.
