Default 1981 ccc

I’m trying to clean up some wires mainly from that computer in the battery box,so have been removed the computer, and as I’m waiting on carpet,I thought now would be a good time to pull them out,I have done away with the old stuff, and have replaced heads up,so nothing associated with the box,now I want to know if I should just cut these out and if there is a wire or two I may need,I thought I read some where that the temperature was one hooked up to it,although I know most were associated with the carburetor.heres some pictures.

These are what was hooked up to ccc box

These are some that I already pulled from engine bay.

The 81 CCC is a stand alone system for the most part. If you have an automatic trans then it will affect your torque converter lock up. You can either get an add on switch if you want the lock up to function or just run your car without it. The other thing that it will affect is your A/C power going to the air conditioning compressor. There is a wire running from your A/C control panel back through the computer and then out to the pressure switch for the A/C compressor. All you have to do is find the wire running from the A/C control panel to the computer, cut it and then run a new wire out to the connector for the A/C power connector. It is right behind the distributor, a single connector. You will find this connector if you pull out the entire CCC harness because the A/C power from your computer runs through the CCC harness out to the plug I told you about.. The CCC harness can be removed completely without affecting anything else except the torque converter lock up and the power to your A/C compressor. I am guessing that you have already got rid of the CCC controlled distributor and carb?

Yes,I removed all the smog and replaced from the heads up,everything, and put in a mild cam. I’m assuming this is the wire.

Here’s one coming from AC compressor.

Then here’s another one coming from other side going into car, guessing they connected to each other.

The green wire in your first picture is the one coming from the pressure switch/compressor Is the green wire in your second picture the one that was in your computer harness? If it is then you can plug them together. Now if you have removed the computer, you will still have to splice the wires together in the console/armrest area. You will need to find where the computer harness attaches to the A/C wire going to the A/C controller, then splice the wire coming from the A/C control to that green wire that was running out to the engine compartment in your second picture. The whole thing here is you are just taking the computer completely out of the loop for the A/C compressor circuit.

Default 1981 4 speed Mt fast ez harness install

I am installing a fast ez tbi master kit on my 81 corvette. I'm having trouble figuring where I can put it. Most of the egr system has been ripped out and I don't care to replace it. I was thinking of just running the new harness through the firewall where the egr harness goes but it's proving difficult to get to. Any tips, trick, or ideas on how to do this better and easier? This is my first rebuild.

Plan on removing my CCC as well in the near future. I read MattoonVettes response, And I am not sure what two wires would need to be joined. I understand the Green wire. But what does it need to be joined with (spliced). When you complete it, please take some pictures, so even this old man can get a visual of what needs to be spliced/joined together under the console.
