My 77 has the alarm switch integrated into the driver side door lock. The owner's manual describes the alarm switch mounted on the left front fender, which won't help me. Anyway, it goes off at odd times for no apparent reason. Any ideas?
There were 2 different Owner Manuals printed for the 1977 model year.
Part number 460200 and a later manual same part number with a B after the part number.
If your hood and door pin switches aren't the problem I would check the Anti-Tamper switch located inside the door near door key cylinder.
Here is the Late 1977 Anti-Theft supplemental insert added to the "B" owners manual.
Also a drawing of the Late 77 Anti-Theft circuit.
