If you bought urethane body mounts check them. Getting car ready to go for safety, backed out of garage and found what was left of my body mounts in the driveway. Car has only left the garage when it went for exhaust. It has less than 1km on them.
just changed out the rear dual mount cushions & built my own & installed this morning Just crumbled, can the manufacture be held responsible if this causes an accident ?
I can't imagine why anybody would use poly bushings anywhere on a car. They all crumble and fall apart, usually within a couple years of installing them.

It used to not be that way.......something is wrong with the durometer of Poly these days......too hard.

I agree, BUT is it the durometer of the polyurethane, or the supplier of the urethane parts? I used Energy Suspension ploy parts on a number of cars with excellent results. However, I also installed poly parts sourced from the now defunct, VB&P, and really questioned them, just by feel alone....
I used the EOM parts that my car was designed for when pulled the body and replaced the original chassis on my '69 with a completely rebuilt one last year, and never looked back. It's not and never will be a daily driver, so I have no desire to try to improve on the original metal mounts.

Wow! So 1 km on the road. When were they purchased, and when were they installed?
They were installed in 2013 when I dropped the body on the chassis. The car has been in a heated garage while I finished it up. Here's what's left of all 8.
I also have poly in some of the suspension and they were installed be for the body mounts and still look like new.
Yikes! Is it possible those were old stock from the bad batch of that period? I haven't had any issue with Energy Suspension components, but the oldest bushing on my car is from 2017.
