I have a 1969 Corvette. It has an M21 close ratio Muncie in it. I have just come back from Summit Point Motorsports Park where I did a HPDE.
Admittedly the transmission has not been rebuilt in years. However, I did change the fluid on a regular basis. At Summit Point when the car was in 3rd gear and decelerated, it popped out of gear. (deceleration only). Also, later, when shifting into 4th it seems to “crunch”.
A friend recommended I send it to Paul Cangialosi. He said he is the guru when it comes to Muncie transmissions. Anyone use him?
i used him to rebuild my M21 close ratio Super T-10 by using his kits and videos and actually on the phone when in a jam.. a real expert with high quality stuff.
Have you considered DIY? below I have never rebuilt a transmission.. but this forum and Paul has me whipping smoothly thru gears still https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-etc-diy.html
i would have zero issues sending it to him.. I bet he will have upgrade suggestions for you racing too..
Where are you located in NY? D & L transmissions in Long Island has been repairing Muncie's for decades. They also have a robust parts department. Jerry

You are the third or forth person to recommend D&L. Yes, I am in NY and actually only 30 minutes away from him. Beats shipping to Fla.
