Those kind of lifts are adequate for suspension/brake work but their design blocks off a lot of the area underneath the car.

I looked at a lot of different lifts and when it was all said and done I chose Quick Jacks.

biggest bang for the buck I found, got mine on sale at Costco for $1299

Better than my set up lol (trench)
Ha ha ...good one!! All you need is a backhoe! (and hope the sides don't cave in).

A buddy of mine had a fairly nice and wiide pit in his home shop. When it was clean (rare occasions for him) and well-lit, it was actually pretty handy.

Assuming those little risers are secured to the outriggers, you should be fine. If not, forget it.

I’ll stick with my 2-post, thanks. And yes, they do make them for low ceilings, but mine is full
size.

Those risers are rolled on the bottoms so slide over the outriggers. I saw these lifts being used for Hot Rod magazine project cars and liked being able to get the car up for bodywork/painting plus brakes and such. And don't need bolted down. I considered Quickjacks but get about 3 times the height with this. I would love to have a 4 post lift but no room.
I will pick up some 2" X 12's and make another set of blocks to set the car on. Then slide the jack out and be able to get underneath for most anything.
