the top thing is your choke assy. The bottom looks like a tool for measuring drill bit sizes...IDK. Never saw it on any corvette I have owned.

Thank you!! Carb has been changed to a Holly (which I'm happy because I know them) so that makes sense that the choke bracket was changed. The other thing has a flat coil spring attached to the little arm coming out of it. I can't figure that at all.

I think you misunderstood the replies above. The box with the coil and rod in it are the choke, not the thing with all the holes. 68-74 Corvettes used a divorced choke with a thermostat spring mounted in the intake manifold. Heat from the intake caused the spring to expand and contract, and the rod attached to the carb, opening and closing the choke butterfly.

The thing with the holes looks like it might be a homemade accelerator return spring bracket? If a previous owner swapped carbs, they may have had to adapt a return spring at some point? Whatever the thing with the holes is, it doesn't look like any stock Corvette part I can ever remember seeing.

I agree with Glenn, the flat plate is some accelerator spring adapter for different spring lengths and strengths. Lou.
