Hey all,
I am getting ready to replace my 71’s rear leaf spring mounts. Any suggestions how to make this job an easy one? Looks pretty straightforward, but we all know, there is always a short cut or easier way to replace these mounts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
From what I have experienced, like you said, it's a pretty straight forward/simple operation. One additional piece of advice is to place a clamp or something similar (large vice grips) on the spring before jacking it up. This will help prevent the jack from slipping off the spring as it (spring) is obviously at an angle (sometimes significant) while jacking and releasing.
