Hello men,
. Could someone give me a measurement of their frame from the center hole in the main front engine crossmember to the pinion snubber bolt. I did extensive frame repair and just want to be sure before i go further.
Mine is a 1970.
Thanks for the help.
From the center of the upper side centerline hole on the front crossmember to the centerline of the snubber bolt measures 89 1/4” on my December 1969 frame.
Damn when I respond like this I get kicked off for a month. I whole heartly agree though, a little research goes a long way in answering question.
Wow 71, I didn't know you could get kicked off for offering advice. I really didn't intend to sound mean but just to advise a new guy about a little common forum etiquette. I've seen this happen several times in the past where a newbie will ignore good advice and continue to ask the same question. Kinda like the old saying "continue making the same mistake expecting different results."

My measurement showed about 89/5/16. Reason i asked was that when installing the rear spring , the hangar bolts are angled pretty steep.
Do you think there will be a problem.?
Post some pictures of what you have. If you are referring to the 4 bolts that attach to the differential cover, those should be perpendicular to the ground in both longitudinal and lateral planes. The bolts that run from the trailing arms to the ends of the springs will tilt inward due to the arch in the spring.
