Default Gear shift indicator
My 77 I believe was the first year to put an indicator to see what gear you're in. Everything is there but the plastic indicator is not connected to the gear shift, does anyone have a picture or possibly what little part of my missing to connect it

There's a small pin on the shifter that engages with the sliding indicator.

Thanks for the pictures very helpful I may have to make one,is the PIN plastic or metal and what is the approximate diameter and length.

It's a steel pin that measures 0.125x0.6 inches. It's on a separate bracket from the shifter and I do have a extra one if you need it. Just pay for the the ride.
