he landed 154 feet from the rest of the pieces of the car......not walking away anymore unfortunately. The description of the white male in the mustang should sound familiar to most of us. I see that guy every day

Question: They are closing race tracks. Do you think if people had options like Time trials, High Performance Driving Events (HPDE), quarter mile strips, they be less likely to street race.

I been issued challenges on the street. I usually tell them to meet me at a local road course. I tell them if they beat me there, I’ll be impressed. Admittedly I usually get the 3 “L”’s. Listen, laugh and leave.

Sadly, not really, because what happened where I live, has probably happened in many areas, across the country. Back in the late 60s, three fairly well financed drag racing enthusiasts wanted to build a fully sanctioned, 1/4 mile drag strip in the Rochester, NY area. They held informational "pep rallys" to generate support, etc. While doing the "PR" work, they were also looking to purchase land, and get the necessary permitting to operate such a facility.

One of their "sales points" to the localities that they were looking into, is that they'd get the kids off the street, and instead have them racing at the track. All the citizens thought that was GREAT................as long as it's NOT in my back yard. Long story short, the track eventually was built...........40 miles from town!!! Think the street racers, looking to run a grudge race, were going to drive 40 miles?
