I am old enough to remember when these classic cars were $1000 beaters nobody wanted. But the disco 'vettes were some good looking cars to me. I am an empty nester with an empty 3 car garage a huge tool box and everything needed to restore a project car. But yeah, not ready to tackle a 'vette restoration yet. Much to learn.

If you have the space and the tools, and are willing to learn and work on the car yourself, C3s are great! There is no better way to learn how to work on a car than to do it. But a beater 81 would add some extra challenges.

Perhaps @Midnightsun1 will sell you his 81. It seems pretty well sorted out.
