Default Two Questions

Can anyone ID the year(s) these visors work in? and Is there a difference between coupe or convert for this style visor?

I think I can narrow it down some for you. Coupe and convertible used the same visors, but otherwise there were a number of variations to the visors used between 68 and 82.

Looking at them I can safely say that they are either 69-73 from a car with the standard Comfortweave vinyl interior, or a 74-75 with a standard Comfortweave interior. There is a difference between the 69-73 and 74-75, but it's very minor and you would probably need to see them side by side to tell the difference.

All 68 visors were smooth (Madrid grain?) vinyl. 69-73 and 74-75 where Madrid grain vinyl instead of Comfortweave in cars with the optional leather seats (69) or leather Custom interior (70-73 and 74-75). The Comfortweave vinyl seat covers were dropped for 76 so all 76's came with smooth vinyl visors. The 76 visors look the same as the 74-75 visors from cars with leather interior, but I don't know if they use the same Madrid grain vinyl? 77-82 visors are completely different.

My '72 leather interior car has the comfortweave vinyl visors. This jibes with the NCRS '70-'72 judging guide that says all cars got comfortweave visors whether they had standard interior or deluxe.

You're probably right, but this has been debated in the past. We haven't parted a car in years, but I know we've pulled both Comfortweave and regular vinyl visors out of cars, I just don't remember what years or interior trim now.

Didn't the visors get shorter in 74 to allow for the larger mirror?

Hi,
Good morning. Just another day in Paradise. They look just like the ones I have in my '72 Coupe.
Have a great day,
Fred
