Welcome to the forum Mr. Vettejunky.
hopefully you will find this a great place to find help and advice for your current restoration of a 77 Corvette.
I will not comment about headers past, there are a lot to choose from on Summit's site. Look for ceramic coating. And really, for us small block owners there are a lot of choices.
Myself, I chose not to run headers. But rather 2 1/2 inch manifolds. Certainly there are pros and cons to running headers.
I'm certain many on here who do run headers will chime in soon with there favourites.
How about a few pic's of your beautiful car. We love pic's on here!
Cheers from down under.
Welcome to the forum.
As stated above, you have numerous options for headers with a small block.
You mentioned you have a 383 sbc going in.
Nice.
When choosing a header make sure they are compatible with your heads, especially if you have raised exhaust ports.
Headers made from stainless are nice but expensive.
I would seriously recommend going with a set of headers that are silver ceramic coated to help maintain cooler temperatures in the engine bay.
American Racing Headers make a nice header, but again, stainless is not cheap.
Another thing to consider is clearance at the steering box which always is a concern when choosing a set of headers.
The larger Borgeson box posses even more of a fitment issue.
