Did you build an L71 cam 11CR version or the crate 12CR ZL1 cam version?
And how did you like it?
<=== Here's mine...waiting for me....

Default Ls-7

Mine is 12 CR ZL1 cam version. I used them in the Super Comp Dragsters I built back in the 90's. When I got as little older and got tired of the issues with lower vacuum and the occasional problems with Headlights and wipers I changed cam to a LS-6 cam. If I remember it has less lift on the exhaust. I also built the engine with #1411076 open chamber Aluminum "C" port heads 118cc. Using a Holley 3803-1( LS-6) and AC40770 fuel pump (LS-5 & LS-6) has made my car a little easier to live with. And yes, that is a AC system. Like I said I'm a little older and living in Florida now.

That's beautiful and similar to my plans.

So how is yours to drive?

Mine has been pretty good to live with. Definitely not a daily driver. It idles at 900 rpm and is good in traffic. Back in the first year of living with it I had a relatively new Brass radiator. It did run hot in summer but switching to Aluminum cured that. I highly recommend doing that. I guarantee in future cruz nights at your local shows, there will always be a crowd of admirers around your car.

Thanks for that!
Yes that is my plan.
I just don't know whether to label the BB hood with 454, LS6 or LS7. LOL
But I do know the rumble of that 454 solid lifter motor will attract attention.
My LT-1 attracted plenty of attention, and this will add the bass reverb sound to that, the kind you can ....feel.....
