anyone used the zip corvette font end? dynamic corvette front end? my 68 was california uglied (shaved door handles and buttons) I have new used 68 doors on it now with the handles and buttons, bur the front end had the headlights removed and glassed in badly, it has a crack over the drivers side fender, and the lower grill surrond on the passenger side was broken off. I have the piece, but i am thinking it might be better to just replace the whole front end? I have the headlight assemblies. it is a 327 early car with 42k original miles with factory air and power windows. Also anyone know of a good corvette bodyshop in se wisconsin or northern il that could do the work? or is it repairable ? thanks bob do you think this is repairable?
Fibreglass is always repairable.
Before you purchase a front clip from anyone, (ACI might be a really good source). Look into just how big a job it is to replace that front clip. HUGE job! HUGE.
Can't help with repair shops in your area. Perhaps contact local Corvette clubs. Ask the members where they recommend.
You should have seen my front clip when I hit that deer back in 98. WOW, it was a mess. Had the headlights up and the deer pushed them right back. Made your car look great in comparison.
here she is today.
Original front clip. Far less work to repair the broken glass than to replace the entire front clip.
