Default 1982 corvette electrical

I am currently reworking the dashboard on my 1982 corvette. The previous owner has left multiple wires disconnected, open, and frayed. Im almost done but have run into issues with the temperature guage, any guesses why the needle points down? Yes, when i turn the key on the guages all move to reset, this one just seems to be inverted

?

was the gauge working correctly before you started re-working the wiring?

I have a 78, believe it should be the same. There is a same printed circuit board on the back with a bulb. When I exchanged the bulb, I put the PCB in the wrong side and if I recall, I had the same problem. But that was like 18 years ago. Good luck.
