Early 68 design is the bottom one 2nd design is the top.

If chrome exterior is very good and is straight no dings and an original could be worth $800 if not more.
As reproductions sell for $600 to $700.

I don't see any dents, chrome is average, could use a rechrome, but it's not rusty.

Just my 2 cents but I think that is way too high. The 2nd design was used for most chrome bumpers other than really early 68.
i see the 2nd design “could use a rechrome” all day long at swap meets like Carlisle and the internet for $125- $200.

Hard to narrow down by serial #'s, easier to see clues of parts change .... high vs low seat back release, front bumper, etc. Most of these parts began to change around May, so you can use that as a rudimentary gauge.

If I am not mistaken, the early 68's had an extra bracket welded in the inside middle. It bolted to a 68 only bracket on the horse collar. My end of March 68 had one. Later on they added the radiator support rod. Lou.
