Default Windshield brand experience

Anybody here have luck with Beoson brand windshield fitting properly in their C3?
I talked with Auto City Classic and they say they have had issues with the Beoson brand fitting correctly. They recommend PMK brand, but their supply of C3 PMK branded windshields are not due in for several months. They do have Beoson in stock.
Apparently, all the Corvette part suppliers source their windshields from Auto City Classic.

I did a lot of research & replaced my windshield 13 years ago, here is some info from an older post 6/2011

Called O.E.M glass, ( ILLINOIS ) the company that owns all the patterns from Libby Owens Ford ...........( LOF ) & GM..........

THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS !!! someone refered me to
Pilkington glass.........with no additional info.
Spoke to the them..........they manufacture the glass right there & it's not too shabby.
Was quoted:
$255 for the windshield
$50 for correct Date coding
$125 Shipping to a business address only ( CRATED )
2-3 week turn around !!
Joe Fontana / Fontana Glass Dix Hills NY did a flawless install & used the correct butyl product for the job

^ Thanks for the reply, but according to internet search, apparently Pilkington doesn't produce Corvette glass anymore either

I had an email address for a contact at Pilkington. Last we communicated, several years ago, they no longer manufactured windshields for vintage corvettes. I was given a few suggestions, none went anywhere.

I did find a Pilkington windshield a few years ago from another vendor. They were selling PPG or Pilkington, depending on which they had in stock. I don’t remember who it was.

I recall seeing several posts a few yrs back about windshield fitment issues.
But it was NOT the width of the glass or the height of the glass or even the curve, but rather the thickness.

Evidently, the thinner glass today, caused some problems with the trim fasteners being farther away from the glass itself?

Having said that, I was glad to see the Guys In The Little Red Truck pull into my driveway. Perfect !

The only source today is Auto City Classic. I waited a loooooong time during Covid and picked mine up last year from them (I live about 75 miles from them so was able to drive up to their Isanti, MN operation).

The glass I got was made in Thailand. The shading is not exactly like the LOFs but close enough for me. ACC date coded it for me.

^ Yes that is the brand that Auto City Classic mentioned and recommended that I wait for, however, they are several months out. How did it fit?
Just wondering if anybody else was able to fit the Beoson brand properly. Auto City Classic has that brand in stock.

Fits in the frame fine but is slightly thinner than stock so just need to pay attention to the amount of sealing material to apply to achieve proper height though it NOT dramatically thinner.

I bought a Pilkington windshield for my 70 recently, about 1-1/2 years ago from Kool Katz Auto Glass. They sell PPG as well though the name changed. Fit is good, no issues.

Thanks BBCorv70, I received a Pilkington windshield from Kool Katz. Tag on glass said Pilkington, made in Mexico, 7/23. It fits a lot better than the Beoson glass that I had.
