Default where does this go

found hanging down from left side of dash
Didn't find immediately on my wiring diagrams and wanted to save some contortionist moves so thought i would just ask. Is it a bulb socket and goes somewhere in the dash? Maybe someone will recognize it. Found it as I was removing the kick panel to check out my #2 body mount/birdcage location.

Looks like a backlighting socket for dash lights or similar

I’ve noticed that since installing the device I now have to use the paddles to shift into the last two gears when out on the highway. Any recommendations on how to get it to shift into the top two gears when in automatic
