Default 1975 Corvette Sidepipe Kit Availability

My brother just bought a 1975 Corvette convertible and wants to put side pipes on it and can't find any information on where to buy the kit ( side pipes and covers ) . Everything we find as a kit is only from 1968-1974 , no 75's . He can get nice side pipes alone for a 75 through Hi-Flo Performance but every place says the covers are not available for 75 . Does anyone know what the difference would be ? Possible where it bolts to the manifolds because of design change ? If so we could modify that .

Because 75's had catalytic converters. The 74 stuff fits fine. Just not legal.

The sidepipes were a......I believe......1969 only option. You can buy the factory version sidepipes as reproduction. The sidepipe covers....chrome plated aluminum alloy....cost a little above $2000. The OEM style side pipe mufflers are for sale also in either steel or stainless steel, I have the factory option sidepipes on my 68 with NOS sidepipes. They're really attractive. I think they will fit every year C3. A tad on the noisy side. All the money you save on not buying an expensive sound system for the car will pay for the chrome covers!

They'll fit just fine. Throw that horrible stock y-pipe and converter in the woods!
