That's helpful info. Then, in your case it might be a great project. You might be the perfect dude to love it back into a respectable street machine. Going into a project with a lot of energy and enthusiasm is what ya need to help carry you through to the end. And it sounds like you have that. It's definitely helpful when a guy starts out with a 'good deal'. I've done exactly what you're looking to do a number of times over the years. It's harder with a family, esp when kids get older into sports and all that. IMO. And nobody says you gotta do it all right away, right? My only suggestion is ...to try to weave your wife into the project in some way, so friction doesn't develop between your time into the car (and not helping out with the family...or her). Then it's a win-win for both of you.
Personally I'd go straight to Painless for the harness & cut out Eckler's altogether. Search the forum for good engine builders and go to them, why take whatever Eckler's wants to sell you? Maybe even a Chevy crate engine.

I noticed this week when trying to add pictures that I had to resize them to smaller pic. If I did not it would get stuck and not process. Try resizing the pictures and then slap them in. I suspect that is what's going on with you.

Yep, downsize the longest dimension to 1000px or smaller (really 600-800 is large enough) and try again. Photos with 3k or 4k pixels per side can hang the upload.
