I got to thinking today (first mistake!). In 1986 I was building a '36 Ford into a street rod. I remember sitting inside the car with the interior out and thinking how old that car was. Tonight I was sitting in our '68 thinking how old I am.
Have a most outstanding day, and enjoy every minute!! Paul
How true it is! (That you are really old! Not me).
LMAO.
My old red car and I have grown old together. When I first got her friends said things like, ohh, A Corvette! Your doing OK.
Now people comment on my classic car!

That's funny. Last night I was out in the garage looking at the Vette & kind of thinking the same thing.
Like how I was an 18 year-old kid with a 16 year-old girlfriend when I bought it.
Now I'm 66 with a granddaughter who's only two years younger than that girlfriend was...scary....
When i got out of the service in 69 my grandfather gave me his 46 IH farm truck, i thought why does one own an old vehicle for so long. This December i will have owned my 75 for 50 years, my father also kept his cars a long time.
I didnt think I was old until I read this....thanks....
You're most welcome Scott. You really made me laugh! Best, Paul
PS: we need to have a sense of humor about this. We've decided to build a new home and barn closer to our daughter, SIL, and 3 granddaughters while we can - we found out they were going to move closer to us when we get to the point where we need some help (hopefully in a loooooong time) because that's just who they are. So we bought 20 acres about 25 minutes from them and are building between some large farms. We decided last night to name it 'Shady Pines' and we've already looked into some nice metal signs. Broke ground today. Be a about a year or so. We're building it so that when the time comes, they can sell their place and move into this one. My wife said 'what happens when we really do need a shady pines'? I told her that people will just realize that we have/had a great sense of humor...
