1972 Corvette Stingray

Hi everyone,

Sadly, I need to sell my 1972 Corvette Coupe. Where could I get an accurate assessment for the value of the car? I have tried Kelley Blue Book but it keeps telling me the VIN is not good.
I have the vehicle title which shows the VIN so I am not understanding why it is not recognized. I have tried other Corvette businesses and the VIN is not recognized on their websites either.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The VIN is good but it's 13 digits and modern VINs are 17 digits that's why I believe it's not recognized.

consider Corvette Buyer's guide from Corvette Magazine, or Hagerty online valuation guide. By the way I'm in the market for a chrome bumper car.

You can also check the listings on multiple collector or "classic" (anything older than 20 years seems to be a classic now) car websites to see asking prices on comparable cars.

Take dozens, if not hundreds of pictures, and post it for sale on Bring a Trailer.

The price it sells for is the market price.

You can also try Haggerty's for an estimate.

You should ask a moderator to move this thread to C3 general discussion.

OP, when you determine an asking price, then go ahead and start a new for sale thread in the For Sale section and sell the car.

Corvette DNS says anywhere from 16k to 29k.
Highly dependent on condition, and options.
Condition avg to excellent +4k
4spd +4k
AC +4k
You should download it, it's a good place to start.
