C3 trailing arm interchange years
I’ve got a line on rebuilt, unused 1980 fully loaded trailing arms for sale locally. Will these be a direct fit on my 1972? Are the spindle bearing support link mounting ears larger/wider on the 1980 than on my 1972, and if so, will there be a fitment issue?

80-82 use a yoke on the axle not a flange like the 63-79's did. You can use them if you replace the yoke with a flange. The arms, axles & bearings are the same.
About 76 the backing plates were changed to gold anodized from silver.
The support leg heads are larger on mid 70's supports but it doesn't matter. The supports were slightly different .

Yes Steve, it'll bolt right together. The brake backing plate will be the wrong color. That's all.
