Default Hot water cut off

I have been working on the getting my cabin as cool as I can get it. I have replaced all the vac hoses that go into the car, put heat protection paper on car floor, put DEI wrap on exhaust pipes that run under cabin of car, also wrapped the headers with DEI wrap. Now I am contemplating putting hot water cut offs on the heater hoses. My question is do I put a cut off on both hoses or is there a primary hose? Also what is the part number for this cut off accessory?

Thanks in advance.

You can use two pipe plugs instead.

Otherwise, @interpon's thread is about as thorough of an explanation as you are likely to find.
