Default 1972 center grille position

Since I’m not running a front license plate, I moved the center grill out exactly 3” so that it is even with the lower valance.

All 1/4”-20 stainless steel hardware except the 1-3/4” long coupling nut. 2” Phillips panheads on the outside to attach grille and 3/4” capscrews on the inside, attaching to the original bracket.

I had initially thought of fabricating some flat steel or aluminum flat extension brackets to mount where the original brackets mounted and then have the original brackets attach to my fabricated pieces. Too much measuring, cutting, and drilling when the simple hardware store/home center purchased hardware worked much easier.
