I’ve been a member since 2006 but haven’t been active enough recently so I’m not allowed to send or receive private messages. I’m hoping that reintroducing myself will help.
I’ve wanted a C3 bumper car since I used wood putty to make the fender flares on my first pinewood derby car. I now own a 1971 with a worn out small block that I intend to restomod, over time. Currently looking for ideas and to source parts that I can’t find or afford on Ecklers, etc.
Let the fun begin...if the engine isn't showing really low/weird compression numbers, just put some Add-Ons on it to boost the H.P. That will reduce your down-time (don't ask me about jack stands )
Welcome.... You can find most parts for your projects here on the forum. Besides that, there are several salvage yards offering C3 parts that are usable.
If you will be doing work on the car yourself, get a Year specific AIM along with a Chevrolet Service Manual, their cheap on eBay. Next start obtaining printed catalogs from a bunch of the different Corvette Suppliers, there are excellent illustrated part breakdowns, plus you can see what each parts cost. Welcome to the hobby. One thing you should know, while local parts stores have many generic parts, in many cases the ones from the Corvette Suppliers tend to be a better Fit, with less drama.
