Below is a link to the Chevrolet specification sheet for the ZZ4. If you look at page 6 you will see that Chevrolet recommends 10W30 synthetic oil, after engine break in.
The vast majority of engine wear occurs at start up when the oil is cold and thick.
What is cold?
Denmark cold may be construed differently than southern California cold.
I think the benchmark is about 40-50 deg. fahrenheit. 10w/30 above and thinner below, maybe 5w/20 below.
60 weight is way too thick for normal driving.

10w50 or 20w50 will have a significant amount of ZDDP for a flat tappet engine. If you run just any oil in a flat tappet engine you will have a greater chance of flattening the cam lobes and dishing the lifters. If you didnt build it, go with what the last owner said to use, there is probably a reason

I did not build the engine, but i do believe, that a ZZ4 engine is a hydralic roller cam, so no Zinc is needed.
The last owner did not know much about the engine, he had a local mechanic that he used.
I work as a salesman at Toyota, and my mech, says a should just put the recommended on (10w30)
because 10w60 would be too thick for my type of driving (not racing or anything wild)
50 on a very cold day in the summer, and about 75 on a hot day.
we do have a couple of days where we get a little over 86. but thats not a lot during a full year
from 15 of October until the 15 of march, the car is in a garage, where humidity is controlled but its not heated

10W30 is the correct viscosity as Chevrolet recommended
