Default Odd Parts ID Request

Some random left over parts I am not sure what to call them or exactly where they go. Actually, I believe the small ceramic block goes with the distributor and was mounted on the firewall. I do not know if it is an aftermarket kind of part or what it is called. These should be from a '68 but not certain. All help is appreciated.

The ring sits on the transmission tunnel for the shifter lever. The item on the right is a transistorized ignition module.

Here is an ebay link showing what looks like one of your items. Looks like a Shifter Boot Retainer.

The ceramic part, as mentioned above, is a ballast resister. They were used on 67 and earlier Corvettes. Starting in 68, GM used a resister wire instead of the ceramic block. Jerry

I wonder if this is a date code or a part number on the ignition module?

Possibly Jan 10, 1968? That would coincide with the build date of my car.

Interesting, I would have assumed firewall but it is pretty crowded back there.

There will be three holes drilled for the mounting of that ignition module, or there's 3 dimples in the glass to indicate where to drill

No, just this part. I used an HEI when I put the BB in the car a few years ago. Just cleaning up and found this old part and did not know what it was. I bought the car in boxes and although it is together now there were some maverick parts to wrangle up. This was one of them.

Does anyone know if that TI module can be bench tested?
