I maybe losing my garage space for the winter, and my 77’ may have to sleep outside. I’m in the process of moving and it can’t be helped.. Can anyone recommend a good winter cover, that will protect it from the elements.
I would find a good storage garage to rent. These cars don't do well outside.
Agreed. If you have any water leakage around the t-tops, doors, or vents, only consider inside storage. Putting a cover over the car can cause problems in itself with excessive moisture build-up or paint damage. Maybe a relative or friend could help out with a garage?
California Car Covers make numerous car covers for all type of weather conditions.
The fiberglass that our cars are made from creates other issues.
If you have to park it outside, make sure you get a cover that breathes really good and remove it when the weather man is calling for rain.
If you can build a lean too with wood and a plastic tarp for protection.
You can cover the car cover with a thick plastic tarp during the rain to keep everything dry instead the car, but you’d need to remove both the plastic tarp and car cover immediately after the rain ends and let the cover completely dry before putting it back on.
I live in California, I cover our cars that are parked outside year round.
The covers protect them from the sun, but I remove the covers when it rains.
The Corvette stays in the garage year round.
Many covers out there but I would be more worried about the critters that are going to call your car home over the winter. Times 10 on a temporary storage unit for the short term.

agreed. One mouse could do more damage/cost more than a storage unit for a few months would.
Chili pepper flakes like you get from your favorite pizza parlor.
Sprinkle them in the interior on the carpet, in the engine compartment and on top of the tires.
Think pepper spray.
Vacuum them up from the interior and wash them out of the engine compartment when you start driving it again.
The rodents don’t like them.
