ar is 68 coupe. All new LL wiring installed a few years ago. I noticed this single yellow wire lying above the steering box. It comes out of a harness thru the firewall. Anyone have an idea what it is for?
this diagram is for my SB '68...the left side of the photo shows all the wires coming out of the firewall.
Is it possible the loose wire is actually TAN?
It would plug into the Brake Fluid Warning Switch located near the Master Cylinder. The contacts need to be cleaned for it to work correctly at the dash lite (I think).

This is what I also think it's for. The green insulated wire is for the intake manifold thermostat.
