So just asking but would it be possible to put a chevrolet performance zz632/1000 deluxe crate engine in a C3 specifically a 1979 model
what do you guys think ?
If the 632 has the same mounts as the 454 big block, then it would bolt right in. And it would bolt to the TH350/TH400.
however, hood clearance would be an issue, the cooling system would be inadequate, and the differential would likely explode. I’m sure the trans wouldn’t be far behind it.
Well, GM uses a tall deck block, so, have fun with fitment due to the raised cylinder heads. If GM is subsidizing you from their corporate ad budget, go for it. Otherwise, get Shafiroff to build you the same thing for half the price, and better quality.
When you're done, you'll probably have $50K in mods overall, tied up in a $15K car.......that's maybe worth $25K when it's over.

Is it possible? Absolutely! The 632 is nothing more than a tall deck big block, which has been fit into many C3’s a number of times. Might need to cut a hole in the hood though to fit that intake.
Is it feasible? Probably less so. If you want a 1,000 horsepower Corvette you’re probably better off modifying a C7, or better yet, try your hand at getting a C8 ZR1!

My buddy tried he said it would hit in multiple places...I think a power brake booster would be an issue as well. My advice is to get the measurements and measure your engine compartment
