So to make a long story short I plan to get my dad some wheels for his c3 corvette, when I came up with this plan I started doing research and came across this forum which has a bunch of experience and knowledge but still just a little hesitant to purchase a set until I am more confident. (Backspacing, width, tire size)
He has always liked the torque thrust wheels and I’ve seen bunch of people on here have them in 17s just want to know if these will fit with no rubbing and where to get them from
Not exactly. They didn't have those sizes in 75 or 76.
period correct would be 15 inch wheels. However, the styling is period correct, sort of. Thickness of the actual tire is of course much less in the side wall.
Strongly limiting the period correct look .
To each there own of course, and do what you wish with your own car.
The factory wheels have 4” of backspace and a 4x4 3/4 bolt pattern. Like others have said, the ones in your picture should fit just fine.
For tires 255/50r17s should fit without hitting anything, or at worst barely graze the frame at full lock. Not exactly a deal breaker because you basically never do that unless it’s at low speed in a parking lot.
