I believe a TH350 only weighs about 150 pounds, so I don't see any issues. If the trans isn't dry, you will need something to keep the oil from coming out the tail, as you would on a manual trans I believe.
You DO have nuts on those bolts? 2 bolt holes would handle the weight and it might be easier to keep it vertical while clamping it onto the stand belly out.

Do you have T-tops? Perhaps you can just lift it via the gear shift hole?
Last time I had to lift my 200-4r ( and the richmond 6 speed the time before that) I used an engine hoist by running the chain through gear shift hole..... but I have a convertible. Makes it easy to get it off the ground and then slip a jack underneath. I had the car up on ramps so had plenty of room underneath for the engine hoists protruding legs.... of course I had to stage the tranny underneath first....but overall quite easy.
