I hate to say this but it is more important to find someone that your completed
believe in to work on your car. Unfortunately price is secondary, good luck
As JBrooke825 stated, find a competent facility that's familiar with C3's is important. Be sure to do your due diligence in that regard. That being said, in 2019 dollars, I paid $1600.00 to R&R my clutch. In addition the shop also resealed the M20.
I think it cost me about 350 AUD. (Australian dollars). About 4 years ago. That was for everything, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch fork boot, etc.
Oh, and I just threw it all together myself. Much cheaper that way.
Good link. Further down, Lars mentions he has to test the parts due to servicing high hp performance setups. Stock parts won’t hold up. The “group” discussing this clutch setup seems to agree that a OEM clutch, bearing, plate setup should work fine unless you need high hp parts.
I would assume the same rules apply if you try to go cheap junk parts.
Any recommendations on the best OEM stuff for a stock 4-speed setup? I have lost faith in AC Delco stuff.

Flat rate for clutch replacement is about 5 hours. This does not include resurfacing of the flywheel. If you assume shop rate at about $125 - 200/hour, plus the cost for the flywheel resurface at 1 hour, plus the cost of parts and materials for the clutch kit (about $500), you're looking at a base price of about $1300 - $1700. Let's hope the shop you're using knows how to test the pressure plate travel versus the Vette linkage travel distance so you end up with a usable clutch after the job is done... I've posted several info articles about this issue.
If you can find someone who knows what they're doing, price may vary: I replaced the clutch and pressure plate in my '64 Vette a few years ago during the Superbowl Halftime show when Janet Jackson had the "costume failure" and I missed the entire event. But I had a nice Vette to drive after the game...
