Default Fuse box to firewall connection

Is there any type of gasket or sealant that is supposed to be between the fuse box where it connects through the firewall to the front light and engine wiring harnesses?

I seem to remember using a dielectric grease when replacing my wiring harnesses over 15 years ago

I don't really know but here is a data point I will share. had my '68 completely rewired by a guy in my garage several years ago. After sitting there for a long time I took it into a shop to finalize interior assembly, etc. The guy at the shop called and said he had no power to anything. I said Well I guess you will have to start chasing thru tghe system and see where the issue is because I have no clue. He called back shortly and said I started with the fuse box. Noticed it was loose, tightened it up and it was like the scene from Christmas Vacation. So I assume it needs contact for ground.

I just rebuilt my '68 fuse box...ther is a (useless) foam gasket that seals it, but the gasket dries out and is worthless. It wouldn;t hurt to disconnect the the bulkhead harness and inspect the male and femal terminals.
Mine were oxidized so I was getting 0 violts to some fusebox terminal, 3 Volts to some fuses and 11 volt to the others, Dielectic grease works great...I filled the bulkhead cavity with it to keep moisture out,
