I discovered today that I have a leak at the fuel ending unit on the fuel tank (boy I love the smell of gasoline in my garage...). it's a 74 L48.
While I'm planning on replacing the gasket initially to see if it fixes the problem (I'm only seeing a leak at the sending until), if leaks persist I may end up replacing the tank and sending until. I've had fuel system issues from day 1, I've already replaced the hoses, fuel pump, and carb gaskets in an effort to stop leaks.
Just curious, anyone have an good recommendations as to the best place for a fuel tank replacement kit? Corvette central? Gastanks.com?
I know the questions been asked a few times, but looking to see if anyone's recently done it and has good recommendations.
For my LS swaps Tanks Inc is my go to company.
Other than that Summit typically has free shipping over $100. Or in lieu of that one many vendors on this site.
Quanta (GasTanks.com) have the best, most correct tanks complete with the OLA logo that all original tanks had. Top Flight (Corvette America) sells a very nice replacement tank without the OLA logo, that is otherwise identical to the OEM tank. The Quanta tank sells for $340, the Top Flight tank is $200 for just the tank or $350 for a kit that includes the tank, tank straps, sending unit, filler neck rubber boot and boot overflow hose.
If you're worried about being absolutely original in appearance, then the Quanta tank is the way to go, but if not then the Top Flight tank is a very good substitute.
Thank you everyone for the feedback! I don't care too much about originality, there's already been aftermarket swaps in the fuel system so I'm not too concerned if the tank looks like OEM.

What you need is a Spectra Premium fuel tank. They make an exact reproduction without the logo. I believe the Quanta tank is a Spectra tank with the logo stamped on it. I replaced mine with a Spectra tank. Perfect fit. Glue down the vibration strips when reinstalling so they don’t move around. Another set of hands helps as well. I think the tank you need is GM33D. Google this part number. Sold by many vendors. Fits 70-74.
