Hello. Cleaning up the engine compartment on my 1973 K-10 and discovered that I have a corvette intake. Maybe the entire engine. Anyways if anyone know of an EGR delete plate/kit please let me know. I may just fab a plate and RTV it in place. The EGR does not bolt directly on. It is held in place by a bracket/clamp. The previous owner had a piece of tin under the valve and clamped on as intended but I prefer to get it out of the way entirely. Any advice is appreciated.

I think I recently saw a block off plate for this on the site...one of the other members might know about it. Also if you give us the engine block stamped numbers and letters (located on the passenger side front pad) we might be able to tell you more about the engine.
It might be easier, and "cleaner", to swap to a non-EGR intake............
(keep in mind, either the EGR valve, or the block off plate seal up the exhaust crossover of the manifold. If that passage isn't blocked off tightly, you run the risk of leaking exhaust fumes into the car.)
Block off plates work fine. Way back when I just fabed one up. Nothing fancy. That worked for a couple years until I purchased a aftermarket intake manifold.
Yes mine certainly didn't look like that either. But hopefully ya get the idea. A chunk of metal a bit thicker than sheet metal, cut it out to fit. Bolt into place. It's really that simple.
Or, purchase a aftermarket intake manifold that doesn't even have a exhaust crossover. Even better but more time, gaskets, money.
