Cam33, they would have had to block off the rear deck vents with fiberglass and that would have not only added time and labor to the build, and made the chance for the fiberglass to mess up down the road. They were not about to make two different bodies, one for A/C and one without it. Lou.

Yeah it sounds like somewhere along the way a previous owner changed the glass with replacement date coded glass. Many of the Corvette Parts houses offer replacement glass with date codes and optional Astro Ventilation Script. According to Chevrolet, the Astro Ventilation script on windows was standard on all C3's ( they didn't make separate windows). NCRS judges have said some late 74 and some 75's did not have the AS as they were phasing out the windows for the '76 model. Some 75s were said to be delivered with one driver side window with the AS script and the passenger side without. Quality control was not a priority back them.

true possibly the glass was changed at some point.. . Good point on the 75 . My friend has a 75 AC car which his dad purchased new and has no ventilation on the windows

There is a chance that if the drain hoses for these which drain into the wheel wells deteriorate and spring a leak would leak water into the interior.
Right? 😬😧

Well since my car is far from stock
(yet not custom) and they have no function as mine is an AC car I’m gonna glass over them. I’ll fill the opening with glass mat. I just want a clean look.
