I just installed this rearview camera/dashcam in my 73 coupe. My rearward blind spot issues are greatly mitigated, as this camera provides about a 150-degree field of vision, and no, the fairings behind the rear window do not obstruct the view. It's also a great dash cam and rear cam. Took my about 90 minutes to do the install. Highly recommended...
It's a pretty good pic of you taking the pic however! LOL.
Seriously, we can see the camera. It's discreet enough. But unlike the new cars of today, I really don't feel I have a rear vision problem with my C3.
No real need to fix what isn't broken.

Thanks....was just pondering getting a dash cam. My rollbar padding interferes a bit with looking rearward and it sounds like having a dashcam is a good idea nowadays anyway.
Are there 2 cameras? One goes on the rearview mirror and another facing aft?
All powered from a cigarette lighter outlet?
Can you post some more pictures. I went and looked at the amazon link but it's pretty generic.

The mirror has a built-in forward facing camera for recording traffic and Idiots. The small rear camera turns on when you put the car in reverse (on some models) read the small print to make sure you are getting what you need in the camera.
I just installed a small grill camera to prevent a bent nose/bumper and the 4" monitor sits on the dash...the distorted monitor colors are perfect in real time/easy to view in daytime with the soft top down...
That's cool. Don't hit that softail!
I was backing mine out of the garage just a couple hours ago. And of course down the driveway and out onto the street.
And I have to admit. In all the years I've owned this car rear vision has never been a problem.
Until now.
Seems I just can't turn my head and neck like I once did. This old age stuff is for the birds!
Maybe I too should look into this. I don't need to be backing over one of the neighbour kids. The neighbours are kinda attached to them.

There are two cameras. One is built into the mirror and faces forward. The other is mounted to the rear window frame and points rearward. Unlike most "back-up" cameras, this rear camera stays on (and records video) all the time. That is what I like about it. The power cord plugs into the cigarette lighter, or you can hard wire the unit into the fuse panel. I've been using this same unit in my RAM truck for two years now, and it has performed flawlessly. I'll try to get some more pictures today. There was too much glare yesterday to get effective photos.

Thanks, I have it in my cart already but it sounds good so far. Wish these vendors would post some real pics instead of generic advertisement pics of all their models.....

I received my dash/rear camptraption yesterday. Sure seems rather large in my paws..... hopefully it fits ok ....but I reckon if it's too big I can put it on my other vehicle.

Unfortunately I could not find any pictures of it in the build album , the car is in winter storage along side my vette a few towns over . I will post a link for the mirror I used , the camera in the rear is mounted next the the rear license plate.
I know this is an older post but would you happen to have a picture of what your rear view from the camera looks like through the review mirror? How's the system working for you overall? I'll be hardwiring the system to my 1969 coupe over the winter and was wondering if I shouldn't locate the rear camera around the license plate or below it (I'll be tapping into the reverse light wire) or just mount it the way you did. Of course, I think it's going to take me significantly longer than 90 minutes to install the whole thing. 😎 Any advice or insight you could share would be well appreciated.
Pelsee P10 Plus Dashcam/Review Camera Installation
This is just a quick follow up. I hardwired the Pelsee P10 Plus and rear view camera into the car and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. For the purists, the installation is completely reversible. This is a highly functional quality unit which is a must have on today's roads. Even when the unit is turned off, the Pelsee rear view mirror provides an even greater field of view than the original rear view mirror.
If anyone is curious, I've attached the photos of the completed installation. Not one wire was cut and not one hole was drilled. The only difficulty was having to remove half the interior to route the wires. The total cost of material was less than $200.00 for the dashcam unit, hardwire kit and various connectors and wiring.
