Nothing specific comes to mind, could be loose mounting bolts or worn pivot points/bushings (?- I forget all of what's in there). I'd probably crawl under the nose air intake holes, with the lights up, and wiggle it to see where the movement is coming from. Maybe even remove the grill below that light to get a different angle and look.
I had a paint shop years ago decide that the way to align the headlight door was to heat up the nylon pivot bushings. Basically melt them a little bit and squish the door into place!
I kid you not! The work they did was terrible, all because I hit a deer.
Anyway, that headlight shook like crazy when open. I replaced all the nylon pivot bushings and realigned the door. No more shakes. I also had a large list of other repairs after that body shop experience. But that's a story for another day.
Agree with above, could be a lot of things. Just put in a set of headlights in a 69. I would first look up thru the open hole in front of the radiator and on a 72 if original, you should see an angled stop bracket with a stop adjust bolt which hits the headlight support bracket. You want this adjustment bolt to be slightly touching the bracket so that the headlight opens and clicks but does not move up and down. That is the first easy check. After that you can check an AIM and see where all the attaching bolts are. Some might have vibrated loose or fallen out. As above the side bearings 3 bolts could be loose. Hope this helps.
Another easy first check is while it is vibrating, touch the headlight bulb and elsewhere and see if the vibration stops as it might help point you to a specific location. And good to remember; the insane asylum is full of mechanics who could not locate the source of a vibraton, LoL's and good luck finding the source.
