I'm thinking, cut the park brake cable mount off the trailing arm. Reposition it so the cable clears your non standard rim. Reweld the cable mount in the new position.
Much safer than wheel spacers.

You can buy that parking brake mount new from the Corvette vendors, if the old one gets wrecked grinding it off your trailing arm.
I've been using 1/2" spacers for 10 years, no issues at all. They are billet aluminum. Also changed studs to ARP. 17" x 8 Rally Aluminum wheels. torque to 95 Ft Lbs.
